National award for service Donges Supa IGA is Australia's Best DONGES Supa IGA in Young has been recognised as one of the best stores in the country, taking out the Supa IGA National Service Department of the Year Award.
The Award was presented early last week and recognises the efforts of the Young store in the local community as well as its staff, products and presentation.

Due to supply arrangements, Donges Supa IGA is classed as a "Victorian" store and earlier this year took out the Victorian Customer Service Award which put the store in the running for its latest achievement. In winning, Donges Supa IGA beat numerous other stores from across the country including those in Western Australia, South Australia,Queensland and New South Wales.

Owner of the Supa IGA, Robert Donges, was on the Gold Coast last week for the National IGA Expo when the Award was announced and said it was recognition for his entire team. "It was a great honour because it’s very prestigious," Mr Donges said. "These awards are hard to come by and there´s some really good stores out there... you come up against some of the best," he said. Mr Donges paid tribute to his wife, Julie, as well as the staff at the store saying they were central to its success. "You can´t do anything without the staff," Mr Donges said.
